A new member to the family

After many visits to my home, and my investment in cat food, I have added another cat to the house. I know he is quite happy to have food all the time. I'm sure he'll be happy this winter to be warm. He is playing, and following the other cats around the house, but at a distance. I hope there are no other cats hanging around waiting for me to help them out. I don't understand why people make commitments to animals and then throw them out when it doesn't work for them.

I have a "rent-a-cat." That is what i call one who stops by for a bite when he/she (won't let me close enough to tell for sure) is in the mood. With the colder season, he has found food more scarce. I don't mind sharing with the homeless and hungry of my world. He must have appreciated the vittles, because he brought me a "trophy" and left it at my back door. " Don't know where he came from or where he is going. I am thankful that he is willing to share a little of his life with me.
